Sex trafficking and child prostitution in Cambodia is rampant with research recently published by John Hopkins University identifying that between 40,000 to 100,000 individuals are involved in prostitution. UNICEF estimates that between 30 to 35 percent of that figure are children.
The charity organisation, The Daughters of Cambodia are working to assist sex industry workers to gain life-skills and counselling to empower them to leave the industry, as well as providing alternative employment for victims of prostitution.
