Marking the 20th anniversary of the InterContinental Bali Resort, the hotel and resort owners, Media Group and China Sonangol have presented a US$40,000 donation to the Bali Life Foundation, a charity organisation that works to empower the disadvantaged in the community and help young people improve their lives.
InterContinental Bali Resort has supported the Bali Life Foundation over the last few years through donations and the collection of items such as books and clothes.
“Since twenty years, InterContinental Bali Resort has contributed significantly to the hospitality industry and the local community in Bali. We have a strong Corporate Social Responsibility program in place. This entails carrying our initiatives that support the local community and taking eco-friendly measures to reduce its overall impact on the surrounding environment. We make a difference in the lives of those that we touch every day,” said Michel Chertouh, General Manager of InterContinental Bali Resort.
“Our vision is to provide hope, dignity, and purpose to children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or rejected. By supporting our work you have helped us to fulfil this vision in the most tangible way. You have also contributed towards establishing a home for them, in which they shall continue to thrive, heal, and grow towards their respective destinies. The work of Bali Life is only made possible by the generosity, support, and partnership of groups of people such as InterContinental Bali Resort, Media Group and China Senangol,” said Mr Piter Panjaitan, Director, Bali Life Foundation.
