Worldwide travel and hospitality company, Carlson has highlighted the results of its 10th anniversary of Responsible Business Action Month, and unveiled its new corporate video highlighting its sustainable practices, “Carlson: A Force for Good”.
During the 10th anniversary, staff from Carlson’s corporate headquarters and three of its business units, joined in various charity events around the world.
Amongst these activities were participation in World Clean Up Day, and contributing time to local food charities. Marking the company’s 75th anniversary, Carlson employees will lend a hand in planting 22,500 trees around the globe, including 7,500 trees in Asia Pacific. At the company’s headquarters in Minneapolis, employees collectively donated more than 2500 hours per house in the Habitat for Humanity project assisting families to live in homes in need of repair. The four homes are located on the same block in a high-risk neighbourhood.
In Bangkok, Carlson’s Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok used the Responsible Business Action Month to focus efforts on providing clean drinking water within the community. Three water filter systems were installed by the hotel in three local schools, as part of their sustainable actions.
