Gluten intolerance and coeliac disease sufferers rejoice!
Six Senses Yao Noi are not strangers to going the extra mile to look after their guests, and that now includes accommodating guests with a coeliac-friendly, spectacular menu prepared by a celebrity chef.
Six Senses Yao Noi has welcomed back Michelin-starred Celebrity Chef Anthony Demetre, who will present three exclusive signature dinners on October 20, 22 and 26, based mainly around coeliac-friendly (gluten-free) cuisine.
According to the luxury Thai island resort, the British chef’s mouth-watering fare will follow the resort’s concept of offering fresh, local and chemical-free food straight from the resort’s organic gardens. This is the perfect complement to the sustainable and organic approach of the resort and Chef Anthony’s food concept which highlights the benefits of gluten-free eating. In addition to the incredible dinner celebrations, there will be opportunities for guests who may be concerned about their long term health to chat with Chef Anthony about gluten free food.
Chef-patron of London’s Arbutus and Wild Honey, Anthony Demetre is one of the most talented and highly-regarded chefs working in Britain right now. After receiving his first Michelin Star in 2000 he opened Arbutus, which won many prestigious awards and universal praise for its excellent cuisine and its casual, non-tablecloth approach to fine dining.
Giles Coren, British food critic and television presenter, said, “Anthony weaves his slow cook magic and straddles better than anyone else the boundary between new techniques and old recipes.” Jay Rayner, British journalist wrote, “There are lots of things to get excited about at Arbutus. Great ingredients put together with intelligence and taste; a kitchen which knows how to make the best use of the best ingredients.”
Manish Puri, general manager of Six Senses Yao Noi said, “We are thrilled to welcome Chef Anthony back to Six Senses and look forward to presenting these three exciting gourmet events. His simple approach to food and passion for quality ingredients will guarantee a series of dinners that should not be missed.”
